Year of the Novel

This course is all about supporting you to get that novel written!

It is a year-long course, organised over 26 fortnightly sessions, with information and practical activities for you to complete and a professional tutor leading you through the process.

There are audio files from award-winning author Kim Wilkins to guide you through the activities and discussion forums for you to share your ideas and your writing with your tutor and fellow participants.

  • Nicole Murphy

    A year long course to help guide you through the process of creating your novel in a year, developed by Dr. Kim Wilkins. Facilitated by Nicole Murphy.

    Nicole Murphy has been a teacher, bookstore owner, journalist, checkout chick and now works as a professional conference organiser. She grew up reading Tolkien/Lewis/Le Guin, learnt to love romance with Lindsey/Quick/Deveraux and is co-chairing next year's Conflux science fiction convention, the 52nd Australian Natcon.     A year long course to help guide you through the process of creating your novel in a year, developed by Dr. Kim Wilkins. Facilitated by Alan Baxter.

    Alan Baxter is a British-Australian author living on the south coast of NSW. He writes dark fantasy, sci fi and horror, rides a motorcycle, and loves his dog. He also teaches Kung Fu. His contemporary dark fantasy novels, RealmShift and MageSign, are out through Gryphonwood Press, and his short fiction has appeared in a variety of journals and anthologies in Australia, the US, the UK and France, including the Year's Best Australian Fantasy & Horror. Alan is also a freelance writer, penning reviews, feature articles, and opinion.
